Destined by Aprilynne Pike

Hello everyone, the book you see above is Destined by Aprilynne Pike. This is the fourth and final book in the Wings series, a series I just started reading a few months ago.  I have to say I fell in love with this series from the very beginning. I loved Tamani, the fairy guard that was sent to watch Laurel our stories main character. In this story Yuki and Klea are on the prowl. A winter fairy, the most powerful of them all, Yuki hopes to help Klea destroy Avalon so that they can take over and rule. But as you know if you read the series Laurel and her friends won't stand by and let that happen. Together with Chelsea, David and Tamani by her side Laurel prepares for a battle for the safety of all fairies. Many will die and many will find that they are destined to do better things, just like David did. There is always some sort of action going on that keeps you one hundred percent attached to the pages, turning the pages so frantically that I got at least two paper cuts! Or

Dark Frost by Jennifer Estep

Hello again everyone, I just finished reading Dark Frost by Jennifer Estep, the fourth book in the Mythos Academy series. Gwen and friends start their day with an exciting trip to the museum, that turns horrible when they are attacked by reapers. Gwen comes face to face to sword with the women her killed her mother, and though the battle is intense the girl gets away before Gwen, with her trusty sword Vic, can end her life. Back at the academy things are finally going back to normal after the attack at the ski resort before the break. But now the Fenrir wolf that Gwen helped in the previous book is back as well, carrying a tiny surprise in HER stomach ;) While Gwen is searching up and down trying to find the dagger that her mother his before her death she has to deal with a few problems that seem to keep coming up. One of those problems happens to be Logan Quinn. The sparton boy has been seriously close to the gypsy girl ever since she nearly died at the hands of a Reaper at the

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

Okay, so this is Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. When I read the back, and when my friends all said I had to read it I had my doubts.  What could be romantic about someone who couldn't touch the ones she loves? But that's just the thing, the ones who truly love her can touch her without dying. It starts out in an asylum in a dystopian society where the reestablishment runs everything in the world. Juliette has been locked away for 264 days before her new roommate Adam is brought to her. Though he wants to get to know her, she shuts him out until the day the soldiors come. They bring Juliette out and she realizes that Adam was a soldior the whole time. She is introduced to Warner, the son of the head honcho at the Reestablishment. He knows a lot about Juliette and what she can do. And he wants her to be a soldior for him, fighting at his side. Though she refuses he is determined to make her his and takes her to a place where she can live comfortably and be monitored while he

Nightshade by Andrea Cremer

I'm sorry everyone, but I can't lie to you about this book... It was a back up book so I didn't have very high expectations, and yet it still fell so low below my book standards. I have never really felt any need to read books on werewolves, or Guardians as they call them in the book, but I had heard good things about this one and the cover caught my attention. And to be honest, when I started reading it, it wasn't all that bad. You have Calla, or Lily as her soon to be mate Ren calls her, Shay who she saved from a bear attack, and Ren Calla's to be mate who is the alpha wolf from a rival pack.  Calla is an interesting character in this book because, though she tells herself she is strong, she always ends up giving into both men who want her heart. And don't be mistaken, she has never really liked Ren, their mating is something that the witches, or Keepers, are forcing them to do. Shay on the other hand is connected to her in a different way in which I ca

Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton

So above you can see that I have recently finished reading Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton. And to be completely honest about this book I am on the fence about whether or not I liked it...  It was one of my back up books, a book that I would only read if the books I ordered didn't arrive before I finished my other books, so I didn't have very high expectations of it. But it wasn't the worst book I've ever read I'll say that much. You have Ellie, a girl who seems pretty normal with normal friends living a normal life. Blah blah blah, everything is happy and normal... Until her seventeenth birthday when the strangely familiar Will shows up and awakens her power. She learns from him that she had been reincarnated for thousands of years, no one knows why, to fight the evil reapers so that they don't destroy humanity. As she comes to terms with her newfound abilities, and her memories begin to come back, her relationship with Will becomes more and more h

Endure by Carrie Jones

Image
So this is my latest read! Endure by Carrie Jones is the forth book in the Need series and, as far as I can tell, is the final book to the series!  While in the first book I enjoyed the romance between Zara, the main character, and Nick, the sexy wolf shifter, I found myself loving Zara's new found pixie friend Astley in the second and third. After Zara became a pixie, and Nick was gone, I just started falling in love with the Astley Zara couple faster and faster! In the forth book I loved that though Nick was back Astley and Zara still held on to the romance they shared in his absence. And though the end of the world is drawing near and the humans need to be recruited as fierce warriors, the two still hold onto hope that Zara can stop the apocalypse like the prophecy says. All she has to do is prevent Loki from being set free... But as the end approaches Zara finds that all is not what it seems; there is Hel, who is Loki's daughter who wants to help in any way she can,

Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Just Finished reading this book called Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout (Cool last name huh?) and I have to say it was one of the best books I've read in a while. All the books I've read before were about zombies and strange magic, and none of them have been any good :S Though the plot line seemed strange when I read the back of the book, it turned out to be really amazing. The back says that there is an obnoxious, yet very attractive, boy living next door, but here's the catch, he's an alien! So stick with me here! When I read that they were aliens I was weary to reading it, but it wasn't anything like the E.T kind of things you see in the movies at all! Daemon and his sister Dee are in every way human, minus the fact that they can stop time, freeze things and turn into a glowing ball of light... But the point is they don't really seem like the classic aliens I had imagined reading about. Now imagine this... Another Alien girl named Ash shows up, no sh
