Crush, Candy, Corpse by Sylvia McNicoll

Hey everyone! Great to be writing again! Just finished reading Crush, Candy, Corpse by Sylvia McNicoll and I have to say it was nothing like what I expected. The back of the book doesn't explain just what you have to expect going into this novel. It is not a romance, it is not a story about finding yourself, it is a story of a court case about a girl who may or may not have murdered an old women because she asked her to. From what I read I couldn't tell whether she did it or not. But anyway, we meet Sunny who is on trial for the murder of an old women who chocked to death on a candy at the retirement home where she was earning her community hours. We see her flash backs to her time there and how she fell in love with this women's grandson who had promised the old lady that when her disease progressed too far that he would help her commit suicide. We see her progress with this boy even though she has a boyfriend who is a criminal. It is hard to describe this book ...
