The Summoning by Kelly Armstrong

Hey everyone, look at that beautiful book cover right there. Isn't it nice? It's a good book too, that lead to a lot of awesome books to come after it, and an entire other series that connects with this one. I actually read this a couple of years ago before Kelly Armstrong became big. I liked it mostly because it held my attention from the first chapter and didn't waste any time getting right into the story. Chloe wants to live a normal life, and so far she is achieving just that. That is, until she sees a ghost one day at her high school, and the ghost notices that she can see it and attacks her trying to get her to help. She freaks out and has to be restrained by her teachers, and then she is sent off to a school for troubled teens. At first she doesn't realize why she is there, considering she freaked out one time and suddenly they are shipping her off to the looney bin. But the longer she spends there the more she notices that the kids there are like her.  ...

Poison Princess by Kresley Cole

Hey everyone, just finished reading Poison Princess by Kresley Cole, so here's what I think. To be completely honest I only read this book because by chance I picked up the second book in the series and it looked, by what I read on the back, to be pretty promising. The first book didn't seem as promising, but as we all know one cannot simple start the second book without first reading the first. The book starts out from a persons point of view as Evie comes to his house after an event caused most of the world to be killed or turned into zombies who search for anything to drink in the barren landscapes, even blood. Flash back to almost a year ago and we meet Evie, a girl living in Louisiana who has just been let out of an asylum because of her hallucinations she experiences. She is going back to school for the first time in a few years where she hopes to strengthen the relationship she has between her boyfriend and her best friend. But there is a new boy, Jack, who is from...

Dark Inside by Jeyn Roberts

Hey everyone, just finished reading Dark Inside, and I have to say I am deeply disturbed! Now, I am the type of person that is easily scared when it comes to horror, despite my massive love for Halloween. My friend asked me to read it for her, and from the first chapter I was horrified. There is so much death, to people that you normally wouldn't see die in a book. In one scene a two year old is ripped apart while one of the main characters listens from bathroom. We meet four different people who are the focus in each chapter. In chapter one, I believe, we meet Mason, who's mom has just been in an accident. While waiting for her to get better in the hospital he hears news that his school has been destroyed, and all his friends are dead. Depressing, but that is just the start. People are turning up dead all over the place, and his mom has just been pronounced dead. His journey to escape and go to the place where he and his mom shared as a child leads him through the war to...
