K's Book Review

Hello again everyone, this week we will be looking at Everneath by Brodi Ashton. Have to say I was looking forward to this book before it came out and I was happy to finally read it. So without further delay let's dive in! Meet Nikki, who has just come back from a 100 year feed in the Everneath. What is that you ask? Well, every 100 years or so these special people that come from the magical world of the Everneath have to feed on a vessel for another 100 years to get a longer life. They do this every 100 years and they continue doing it until they die, which is never I believe.  But 100 years in the Everneath is only 6 months on Earth, and Nikki wasn't a vessel. She was a scared girl going through a lot of trouble who ran away from home and right into the hands of Cole, someone in need of a feeder. But something went wrong in the feed, and Nikki survived, being the only person ever to do it besides the current Queen. And don't you bet Cole wants everything to do wit...

Hey everyone, it is that time of year again and you know what that means! So no matter where you live, have a happy holiday season, even if you don't celebrate any holidays this time of year. Be safe and jolly come the new year and for those living in Icy climates like me, drive safe and cautious. No one needs an accident in these merry times. Remember to spend lots of time with your family too. But if you aren't, it might also be a good time to curl up by the fire with a nice book... nudge, nudge, wink, wink. I intend to continue writing reviews for those book lovers out there, and I hope that you can take this time to enjoy yourself in as safe a way as possible. Hey everyone, sorry that I have been missing for the past couple weeks but with the holidays here I am back again! Today is Monday and I will be continuing to upload my reviews every Monday leading into the New Year and so on. So I read Need a while ago and I believe I even did a review for one of the later books in the series, which I regret because looking back on it I shouldn't have been posting any reviews for books that are not the first in a series. Hey everyone, just finished reading a classic "Wuthering Heights" for my English class. Normally I wouldn't do a book I did for class for a review but I thought I would change it up a bit. Basically this book is separated into two different stories containing generation one and generation two. In generation one we meet Cathy, Heathcliff and Linton who's lives are mixed together from the Heights where Cathy and Heathcliff live to the Grange where Linton lives.  Throughout the story it is told from the point of view of the housekeeper Nelly Dean who watches Cathy struggle as she grows. She has to make the choice between marrying the man she truly loves, and marrying for money and a strong and promising future for her family. The choice she makes will either make or break her. In the second part of the story, also told from Nelly's point of view, we meet Cathy's daughter, Cathy (don't ask) and we learn about how she struggles after the choices her moth...

Hey everyone! Now this post is going to be a bit different then what you all are used to. Normally I would show you a picture of the book I read, tell you a bit about it, and then rate it. But today I am going to tell you about a series, not at all related, but at the same time, has a lot to do with each other. It is called the 'Dear Canada' series. Each book, and there are a lot of them, has a different writer, and a different story from the perspective of either a little girl or a little boy. From book to book they are in the form of a Diary from the children's point of view of events that changed Canada greatly. The first one I read took place during the Halifax explosion, and described from the little girl's perspective how she loses her family, and how she suffers with her town. Alright everyone, hello again. Just finished reading Starling, so let's get to it. I have been splurging on books lately, reading them by the dozens, instead of only one a week like I had planned. To be honest, I think I am getting addicted (though there are much worse things I could be doing) I had a few problems with this book, which I will get into after the description, but other than that it wasn't a terrible waste of my time. Meet Mason, girl, who is on the fencing team at her University in New York City. Hey everyone, just finished reading Poison Princess by Kresley Cole, so here's what I think. To be completely honest I only read this book because by chance I picked up the second book in the series and it looked, by what I read on the back, to be pretty promising. The first book didn't seem as promising, but as we all know one cannot simple start the second book without first reading the first. The book starts out from a persons point of view as Evie comes to his house after an event caused most of the world to be killed or turned into zombies who search for anything to drink in the barren landscapes, even blood.
