The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead

Hello again everyone! I've just finished The Golden Lily by Richelle Mead. Now this is the second book in the Bloodlines series, and the next series after the Vampire Academy series in case you didn't already know. While I didn't like the Vampire Academy series so much, this series I am seriously getting into.
I just love the slightly there slightly not there relationship between Sydney, the wise Alchemist, and Adrian, the witty Moroi.
In this book we continue with Sydney, now living in Palm Springs to continue to protect Jill from enemies trying to dethrone Lissa. Here she is constantly pushed to the limits of trying to be a good Alchemist, and trying to be friends with her mortal enemies the vampires.
This becomes more and more of a struggle as Adrian wriggles his way deeper into her life. Thankfully now she has a boyfriend, yes a boyfriend who is not Adrian, and he is keeping her mind off Adrian, for the most part.
But life is not all Palm trees and paradise for Sydney and her friends. Vampire hunters are on the loose, yes real vampire hunters who are human and everything, and they are after one of Sydney's friends.
With the clock ticking down she must figure out so many things in her life.
Believe me when I tell you the ending is everything we hope it will be, even hinting at some things that will come in the next book. I love the characters and I really can't wait until the next book is released in the next year.

Four out of Five stars for sure. Let's just hope the next one is a solid five ;)
