K's Book Review

Hey everyone! A few weeks ago you may remember that I read the first book in this series 'Jorie and the Magic Stones'. The author was kind enough to send me a copy of the second book in the series to read as well. In the previous book we saw Jorie, a young woman from the human realm travel to the magical world where dragons rule the skies. She and her friend Rufus were tasked with retrieving the magic stones that would grant any who hold them the power to rule over the world. At the end of their adventure Jorie returned to the world and left the stones in the hands of the Great Wizard who promised to protect them from the Dark Lord. I enjoyed the first book so I jumped at the chance to read the continuation of Jorie's story. The cover of the book is amazing and the colours jump out at you right away. Hey everyone, I'm sorry I've been away for so long. In the last couple weeks I have managed to sort out most of my medical problems and deal with all of the my school work. Now that I am caught up I have time to do readings. Speaking of readings, I have an apology to make to all the lovely authors who have been so kind as to send me copies of their books to review. Hello again everyone, back with another review. Hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to a great week (I know, it's Monday, hang in there). So a while ago I received this book from the author, who was very kind in doing so. I found out that it was actually the prequel of another book series, so I was happy that I would be able to read it before reading the next books. I find prequels give me a better understanding of the book series to come. We start our story through the eyes of Hadrian, a traveler with mysterious reasons who has just arrived in the city and is in need to move towards the university. After a scuffle with the local authorities he is on his way on a private barge with a small group of individuals.  He has heard that there had been a murder in the town he has left and everyone on the ship believes it to be a hooded man who travels with them and does not speak to anybody. Here we are once again with another book, as promised, and this one was much better than the last one I did. I expected it to be good as it is by my favourite author, L. J. Smith, and she once again did not let me down. It had a very original story line, and the characters were done just as well as they always are. And as usual, she ends it well and the audience is somewhat satisfied, and somewhat disappointed, but in a good way. Kaitlyn has an interesting ability that no one knows about. When she draws, every one of her pictures comes true in the future. But she draws in a trance, and she can't control what she draws. It is terrifying, but she can't control it. Then she gets recruited into a program where teens like her can learn to harness their abilities. There she meets someone who can control animals, someone who can control dice, and a few other people with different powers. Then she meets the vampire. He sucks the spirit out of people, and can connect people minds...

Hey everyone, sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was out of town and didn't get a chance to finish writing up this review. But now I am done, and I am able to post, and hopefully next week I will be able to keep on time with the posts. This week I read Immortal, which has been out for a while now, and the series I believe is already finished. It was a pretty good read, not the greatest in my long line of books I have read, but pretty good non-the-less. Evie is a normal girl who loves the ocean. Hello again everyone, this week I read The Librarian's Daughter, which was send to me as an advanced copy by the lovely author and Goodreads. Have to say, I didn't know what exactly to expect going into this book, and I wasn't disappointed by story. It had a good flow to it, the characters were pretty cool, and the author clearly put a lot of work into making it. Meet Abi, who's aunt and only guardian has just passed away. Forced from her home she spends some time with her cousin and her stupid husband, who seems more like a jerk than anything else (even for a lawyer). She doesn't plan on staying too long, just long enough to find a place to live, but she finds the perfect job, meets a cute guy, and seems to have everything going for her. But everything changes when she receives a letter from her dead mother in her aunt's will, and it reveals a whole new side of her life that she never thought could ever exist.
