Hey everyone, sorry about no post this week. I am really busy, and I didn't get a chance to read anything. Off to Wonderland today for some fun, maybe tomorrow I will try to read something for you!
Good Monday everyone. I hope you all have a great weekend. I have so many books on the go that it is hard to keep up with them all and my school work. But still I push on. A couple weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be sent an advanced copy of this book to read. Just the other day the book was officially published so my review will give you all a chance to get the book. I will provide the links to the sites at the bottom of the post. The book itself is a little different than what I normally do. But I love experimenting and reading books that suit all different audiences. This book is a Fantasy book, set in a magical world. Let me tell you a bit more about it. Joshua has lived his life in his village with his mother after his father died many years ago. For years he has had dreams of his father suffering leading him to believe that he is still alive. Now he thinks it is his time to go looking for him. The timing couldn't be better as he and his friend Andrew come acro...
Good morning everyone. Last week I bought this book intend on putting it aside until I finished all other books on my shelf. Somehow I started reading the first chapter, just to see what it would be like, and 10 hours later the book was finished and I was feeling very tired. So you may remember I did the review for John Dies at the End which is the first book in this series. The only reason I am doing the second book as a review is because it could also be a stand alone book, as is pointed out in the first chapter by the author. But as much as you don't need to read the first book to understand this book I would still recommend it because there are reoccurring characters that make the book that much better. So let me try to give you an idea of what to expect when you start reading this book. Spiders. As the title suggests there are in fact spiders in this book even if they aren't exactly spiders. Instead think generally medium sized (small eno...
Hey everyone! So as you might remember a couple of weeks ago I read Kitty Hawk and the Curse of the Yukon Gold. The author was kind enough to send me a few more books in the series (yay!) which I was very much looking forward to reading. I find Kitty to be almost like a modern day, Canadian, Nancy Drew. Once again the dedication page, "dedicated to those who love Taylor Swift music as much as I do," made me laugh quite a bit. The author really does have a great sense of humour. As you all know that makes a book that much better to read. While I normally don't do second books in my reviews to keep from ruining the first book for people I am making an exception here because it could be read as a standalone if needed. The characters are all new (save for a few letters to a character from the first book) and Kitty herself is not hard to pick up on. So let me tell you a bit about what this book is about. Kitty Hawk is setting off from her hometown in Western Canada o...
