Dracula When we start out we see through a diary style of writing a man named Jonathan Harker who has gone to a man called Count Dracula’s house to speak with him of his move to London. While there he notices that the Count that eat or keep any mirrors in his large home. Certain rooms are locked to him making him very curious. As time goes on he starts to realize that he isn’t being allowed to leave. He tries to send word to his fiancé Mina that he needs help but the Count intercepts him. He meets three woman who live in the home who are try to kill him one night and begins to grow weak as the Count continues feeding on him at night. He makes plans to try to escape. Back in London Mina is writing in her diary how worried she is about John. Her friend Lucy has gotten engaged and is soon to be married. The two get along very well it seems. SPOILER ALERT! Phantom of the Opera An older man tells the story of the Phantom of the Opera as he grows into very old age. He tells how he witnessed Christine, a beautiful chorus girl, rise to a sort of fame when the lead of the show quits in a diva rage. The new investor in the theater where she performs is Christine’s childhood friend’s older brother. The friend’s name is Raoul and he tries to grow closer to Christine, but she just pushes him away. There are rumors of a phantom who lives within the opera house and who stays in one of the boxes. He has a kind voice but no one has ever seen his face. As Raoul tries to grow closer to Christine he finds that a mysterious man is stalking her. She accepts this man as he promises her many things. He allows her to hear her dead fathers violin played again. But many times when they think Christine is alone they can hear her speaking with someone secretly. Eventually Christine disappears altogether after being pursued by Raoul one n...

She recites words from a play but is unable to remember the last words, “you have no power over me.” Her dog watches from a distance. When the clock strikes the hour Sarah suddenly realizes that she is late and takes off with the dog following screaming that it isn’t fair. She get’s home soaking wet to find her stepmother angrily waiting for her. They argue about how Sarah is supposed to be watching her baby stepbrother Toby for the night while the two of them go to dinner but is late getting home. Alright everyone, I am back again with Part Two to the ModernLibrary.com list of Top Ten Classic books. This time it is according to the readers, not the board. I did take a look at the books, mainly to make sure that they weren't exactly the same as the Board list, because that would just be stupid. Hello everyone I am back again with another review. This week I will be reviewing Moby Dick, which has long been a classic on many of the lists from K's Classics.  I decided to finally read it after a while of nothing besides curiosity for what it would be about. After all, there is a whale in it, and a crazy guy with a peg leg. What isn't to love about a story as seemingly wacky about it? What I didn't take into consideration was the fact that it was a classic and therefore it did not have the layout of normal books that I would normally read. That was a mistake. So we start out meeting our main character, who seems so useless to the story that I can't even remember his name. He sets out for a port town so that we can go whaling, because he loves the sea and likes to be on boats. Okay then. On his way he meets a cannibal with whom he shares a room with. Turns out the guy is really nice, but he doesn't speak English well. So they strike up an unlikely friends...

Hello everyone, hope you are having a good week (But that God it's over right?). I'm back again with another K's Classics, but this time I am going to be doing a sort of Two Part thing this week and next week. I found the list on ModernLibrary.com but it had two parts to it, one being the Board list and one being the Reader list. I will be doing both of them over two segments of this. For the first part we have: 1. Ulysses 2. The Great Gatsby !!! 3. A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man 4. Lolita 5. Brave New World 6. Sound of the Fury 7. Catch- 22 8. Darkness at Noon 9. Sons and Lovers 10. The Grapes of Wrath  Okay, so I only got ONE but that is still better than last week, so I got that going for me. Next week I will be doing to second part to this website, and maybe if I am lucky I will do better. I haven't looked at the books yet, so I don't know a thing. Hello everyone, running a little late today. So much work to get done it's not even funny. No seriously, don't laugh. Anyway, I am sneaking in some time between assignments to do this post, because it is Friday, and I am not going to miss a day for homework! I decided to see what Google, one of the biggest websites on the web would think of the Top Ten Classic books this time, and thankfully I think I have read some of them. I read a lot, yes a lot, and I like to read some of the classics as well as the books for teens. Anyone who loves to read knows that sticking with one genre forever can get repetitive. And some times it is nice to see where books came from and what inspired some of the great writers of today. But of course, I couldn't have read them all, and some of them I don't care to read. But many websites will tell you different 'Classic' books based on what the readers are thinking. Some say Dracula, while others aim towards plays like Hamlet. So I decided to check out some websites and see what they say is the Top Ten Classic books, and then tell you which ones out of them I have read.
