RIP Harper Lee

As many of you book lovers may have heard Harper Lee, the author of To Kill a Mockingbird and Go Set a Watchman, recently passed away.
I'm not going to pretend that I was an active fan of her, following everything she did. I loved her books but I knew very little about the author herself until after her death and i'm sure many of you can relate to that.
What I will say is that, though I didn't know a lot about the woman, she will always be an inspiration for readers like me. Growing up I was forced to read many books for my English class and To Kill a Mockingbird was one of my favourites. I thought the story was thoughtful and provoked great debates.
We are lucky that she published Go Set a Watchman as we now are able to read one last little piece of her.
As a reader it always pains me when an author passes away because it means one less great mind to read in the future. And when someone as influencial as Harper Lee leaves us it is truly heart breaking.
I hope her work continues to enspire young writers and readers even though she is gone.
