Hey everyone, back again. Doing a quick write up while I'm in class because I need a break from my crushing stress. The author was kind enough to send me a copy of this book a few weeks ago. I read the first book in the series which was Forestium, and now changed to Joshua and the Magical Forest. This is the second book to that series and there is a third book on the way. It feels like it's been a million years since I first read the first book, but I still remember the details quite well. The author does a great job at creating a memorable world and characters. It was nice to see a second book that is written just as well as the first one. Hey everyone, it's been a while since my last post. In that time I've been reading a few different books including this one! It's the third book in the series. The rest of the books have been reviewed on this blog as well if you'd like to check those out. The author has been very kind to send me the third book and the others as well. It's interesting, this series, because it really feels like each book could be the end. So each time I see another book I get excited to see the story continue. It's hard to say if this book is the end because, though it ends on a good note, there is still a lot of room for the story to continue. Hey everyone! A few weeks ago you may remember that I read the first book in this series 'Jorie and the Magic Stones'. The author was kind enough to send me a copy of the second book in the series to read as well. In the previous book we saw Jorie, a young woman from the human realm travel to the magical world where dragons rule the skies. She and her friend Rufus were tasked with retrieving the magic stones that would grant any who hold them the power to rule over the world. At the end of their adventure Jorie returned to the world and left the stones in the hands of the Great Wizard who promised to protect them from the Dark Lord. I enjoyed the first book so I jumped at the chance to read the continuation of Jorie's story. The cover of the book is amazing and the colours jump out at you right away. Hey everyone, I'm sorry I've been away for so long. In the last couple weeks I have managed to sort out most of my medical problems and deal with all of the my school work. Now that I am caught up I have time to do readings. Speaking of readings, I have an apology to make to all the lovely authors who have been so kind as to send me copies of their books to review. Hey everyone I hope you are all having a good Monday. This week I was lucky enough to be sent a copy of this book to read. It's about the size of an average book, just about 400 pages online but it is by no means a quick read. Like Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings there is a lot of the lore and different species to learn about. Along with that there is also the add on of other worlds with even more people. My first impressions of the book were that it was a little hard to get into. The cover of the book reminds me of Dungeons and Dragons, which I am a big fan. But as a player I know that there can be a lot to do before getting into the good parts of the story so I sort of felt that the book would be a little like that. I liked the last book he wrote but this one blew me out of the water. Now, let me make this clear, this book isn't out just yet. This is an ARC that I received. If you are looking for a book that explores the lengths humans will go to follow their beliefs, through an unknown landscape with endless amounts of danger, this is the book for you. Basically, if you love adventure fantasy books this is a great read. Mr. Phillips has a strong voice in a way that I don't feel the author in the story at all. A couple weeks ago I was fortunate enough to be sent an advanced copy of this book to read. That's right, you don't have to do the crazy wait because you only have one sleep before this amazing book comes out. Hey everyone I hope you are having a good day. This week I got my hands on a copy (online) of this book by James Harden. For some reason it was showing up Free on my Kobo but I liked it so much that I purchased the second book in the series just to help support the author.  You all know how much I love a good Zombie novel and I really love it when the author puts an original spin on things whether it be in story or in writing style. Good morning everyone! Okay, maybe it isn't morning anymore but for the sake of my pride I will say that it is morning and I am writing this before school (not after classes). As some of you may know after reading my previous post last week I have started reading books on my device as ebooks. This one was the first book I read. I have to say it worked out better than I expected considering I stayed up until 1 in the morning reading on my phone until I finished and passed out with my phone on my chest. When I woke up I read another book in one sitting. So far everything is working out nicely with the device reading. I have had it in my bag for the longest time but just haven't gotten around to reading it until now. Good morning everyone. I hope you are all feeling well relaxed after the weekend. Last week I finished yet another Harry Potter book, slowly inching my way to finishing the series. As I have mentioned in previous posts I am enjoying the Harry Potter books more and more as I go along. This one was just as good as the last if not better. It is evident that Ms. Rowling is improving her writing skill (which was already impressive to begin with) as she continues to write. So Harry is back once again attending the world tournament for wizards with Ron and Hermione. He is enjoying watching Victor Krum (a popular player) take over the game and enjoying the last of his summer while still in contact with his God father Sirius.  Soon danger finds him again as a group of Death Eaters (Voldemorts supporters) crash the games tormenting the muggles there. Good morning everyone I'm back with another Harry Potter review. This one, being the third book, is my favourite of the series so far I would say. Out of all of the movies I liked this one the most so I knew that there was a good chance of me enjoying this book as well. The more I read these books the more I notice the difference between them and the movies.  But let me tell you a bit about it. So Harry is back at his aunt and uncle's for the summer, much to his regret. As always things aren't going so great and he ends up leaving before the end of summer after using magic in front of the humans. Good day everyone, I hope you had a good weekend. A long time ago (as in maybe a year or so ago) I did a very short review for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. I had said back then that I didn't enjoy the first book all that much and that I hadn't intended to continue on with the series. But after a bit of time I decided to go back to it and read it very slowly online by reading at least one page a day (I have a good memory so I was able to keep up with it). Now I am on the fourth book and I think it is time for me to do a review for the books I have read. So for now I will do the second book in the series and the third a little later on and so on. For the first difference, there are pictures in this book, even though it is a chapter book in the teen section! The pictures are littered throughout the book and relate quite nicely to the story being told. It was recommended to me by my friends roommate so I thought I would check it out. It wasn't at all what I was expecting it to be, but all in all it wasn't so bad. Jacob is at a loss. His grandfather, who he had idolized growing up for his incredible stories, has been murdered.
